Preparing Together
We help you create a support plan centered on the wishes of the person who is dying.
Your plan may include who they want nearby, preferences for music and lighting, spiritual or personal traditions, and how loved ones will share responsibilities.
We can also help organize contact information and identify who will communicate with hospice, update family members, and make calls after a death.
You don’t need to have everything decided. We work through what matters to you and adjust as needs change.
Bedside Companionship & Vigil Sitting
Vigil sitting means being present with someone as they approach death. This may involve quiet companionship, listening, reading aloud, or simply sitting nearby.
We support loved ones, too—offering reassurance and a steady presence during an unfamiliar and emotional time. When appropriate and agreed in advance, our presence can give family members time to rest or step away.
Support During the Final Days
For families working with us, we can arrange a way to reach out as death approaches. We respond as promptly as possible and discuss what support is available.
Overnight bedside support may be available during the final days or hours of life, depending on your needs and our availability. Immediate attendance and continuous coverage are not guaranteed.
Working Alongside Hospice
You can work with us while receiving hospice care. We provide additional time, companionship, and practical and emotional support alongside your hospice team.
Hospice or your healthcare team remains your contact for symptoms, medications, and urgent medical concerns.
What to Expect
1. Tell us what you need.
We begin with a conversation about your situation, your concerns, and the support you’re looking for. There is no charge for this
initial conversation.
2. Make a support plan.
Together, we agree on priorities, available hours, communication, and costs before paid support begins.
3. Receive support as needs change.
We provide the agreed support and stay in communication about changing needs and our availability.
